It's something of a marvel that after more than a billion years of evolution, we still manage to produce so many morons like Kirk Cameron.On another note, I've been reading "The Greatest Show on Earth: The Evidence for Evolution" by Richard Dawkins lately. I'm about 3/4 through it, and he has some excellent information in there, both for science and non-science types. One thing I appreciated about this book is that Dawkins avoids religion entirely and just focuses on the science, which means I might actually be able to get more people to read it. He starts off by mentioning that many religious leaders fully acknowledge the fact of evolution, which is something a lot of people forget. You can accept evolution without being a godless heathen. I mean, even the freaking Pope praised evolution, and the Vatican took how many centuries to finally admit their mistake when it came to Galileo? Either way, it's a good read, even though Dawkins does have a habit of going off on tangents about really silly things, like naming conventions when it comes to taxonomy and the like. That stuff is a little painful, but it's very easy to skip it and get right back to the good stuff.

Use of a proxy is the best way to stay anonymous online. Most people doing illegal things on the internet (spammers, identity thieves, ect) use a botnet to cover their tracks.?
@JohnnySoftwareSurely you can't be that stupid. If you leave your keys in the car, while it's one with the door open. And you walk away from it for an hour, are you REALLY going to be suprised that it got stolen?Leaving a default password the same then being surprised someone "guessed" it, is stupid. (hint: it's not guessing since it's default... it means they are ALL that password).

I really do enjoy my rooted G1, Android is a soild OS that will only continue to get better. I will admit though, the HTC HD2 loooks mighty fine, and it's coming to Tmobile.

Sky Digital uses a similar encryption system to DirecTV (what do you expect, both companies once had common ownership with a company that creates encryption products) and in 12 years of operation it hasn't been fully hacked. The best that has been achieved is being able to use your legit Sky card in a generic DVB-S receiver to receive what you're paying for.I doubt Apple has the best minds in the business working on it though, and they don't have threats of violence to prevent a hack being released (some seriously dodgy stuff goes on in the world of content encryption). I also doubt that RIM/HTC/Nokia have people trying to break Apple's efforts.
