“I saw Chuck Anderson at a conference a few years ago. He's one of those people you just hate for being so talented. He was just out of high school, still living in his small hometown in Illinois and doing big campaigns for Sketchers and some album covers. Whats great is he gets hired as an artist and not a designer. They commission his work for his style so they just tell him to make a piece and he comes up with whatever he wants. He does these amazing collages and does all the photography and artwork himself. He never uses anything found or purchased. He had the best story about getting started though. He said he would look for the name of the editors in magazines he liked and then guess their email addresses. He would send a bunch of them trying to guess if they did full names in their emails or first letter and last name until he got one that didn't bounce back. He got connected to a bunch of people that way and got started as an artist. He was a really nice shy kid when I saw him. I'm glad he's doing so well.

Not any new releases of the iPhone, but to be honest, if they do stop jailbreaking on the new phone I know that I wont be upgrading, as the phone is next to useless to me without jailbreaking. (and I was going to be buying/upgrading to the new iPhone)!

I think the real surprise will be for businesses, when all the "Loyal" employees leaving for places that treat them better. I expect many companies that weathered the recession by taking advantage of employees will be belly up from lack of good employees when the economy turns up and new companies are hireing. Where I work, there are many people in "Any Port In a Storm" mentality right now, and will be leaving when the economy turns.?
Want to stop jailbreaking Apple? Then stop selling phones locked into a carrier or give people the option to request an unlock from carriers in places like Canada and the US after they have either bought the phone at full price or paid out the contract. If I paid around 800 bucks for a phone, I expect to be able to use it with other SIMs when I travel or if I decide to move to another country.Right now, jailbreaking would do me no good even if I wanted to try it because you cannot unlock an iPhone 3GS once you have upgraded to 3.1.2 the official way. I had not jailbroken my iPhone 3GS before because I had no need to. I just want an official unlock like Sonera does for their customers in Finland.Join me in pressuring your local carriers (Fido/Rogers/Telus/Bell if you are Canadian or AT&T if you are American) and also consider filing a complain with the CRTC maito:info@ccts-cprst.ca or FCC. SIM lock is anti-consumer and anti-competitive collusion. It goes against the original design of GSM which was to allow portability of user data via SIMs and portability of devices on networks via SIM swaps. Call your MPs or congressmen and lobby for a change in the regulations.I have no interest in switching from my carrier, which is fido. I just want the option to do so without have to sell and rebuy a device when my contract is up. I also want to be able to use local sims when travelling if I feel like it.

How about a WVGA screen? Seriously, the text renders so crisply and you can read webpages (in landscape) with little to no zooming. Looking at the iPhone screen (480x320) after using the Droid's screen (854x480), it seems like you're looking at blurry text.Also, background processes let me listen to Pandora while I *gasp* browse the web and text people. It's nice.
